Sailing is one of the greatest and most relaxing sports/lifestyles you could possibly envoke your self in. Its what keeps alot of people going and gives them countless stories and a place to want to escape to. Many think sailing is an old rich man sport/life. Well it's not, many teens accross the country from all kinds of backgrounds sail and even own there own boats. Granted their not your beautiful 35 foot O'day, but they are still out their enjoying themselves and thats what counts!
The goal I have set in creating this site is to help those kids rich or poor, big boat or small or maybe even no boat. I want to help all the teens who share this passion to be able to come on here and share their knowledge and experience and network together. I want to see more teen and college events open up and a willing to help and even eventually here host some on behalf of the site. I have alot of ideas but it takes you to help all of this happen. In the next year I would like to host some races on Lake Erie and really get the word out to other teens in the U.S.
If you are new to sailing or would like to learn about it this is also your site. I and others will be posting articles, blogs and other guides to either expand your knowledge or get you started in learning every thing you need to know. Knowing this now I am lookin for people in different states who can help with the posting of articles. I don't want to exhaust the people I know to the point that they are not putting in good work. So please if you are interested in this site and helping go to the comment box and send me some mail and i'll get back to ya!
I hope this will soon become a very big community place for the teenage sailing world! I have alot of ideas coming and you can get a sneak peak in the about us section. I hope you find this interesting and maybe if you want to suggest more ideas. Have fun and safe passages.

We need help!
I am currently looking for people to write articles and blog on the website. Plus we need some fresh pictures and designs. If you are interested in joining the Teen Sailing team please email me at [email protected]. Please include your full name, age, where you live, phone number that you can be reached at etc... This is currently not a paid postion. I can see pay in the future though but the site needs to grow first. Please describe how you think you can best help the site grow and what you would like to do for us. Postions are as follows

- Gear and Tech writer/researcher
- Race informant
Well here in ohio we are experiencing some great weather, and im sure you know what that means! Yup bust that boat out and start sailing. But make sure you do a full inspection on it before you launch it that way your day on the lake doesn't end with your boat on the bottom. Along with that you should also make sure your lifevests are still in good working condition. Check to see if there is any signs of mold or mildew. If so try washing it off with ammonia and water (50/50). Finally check your sails before you leave and make sure they are in good working order and that rodents haven't gotten to them.
